“The purpose of life… is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Our 13th annual fundraiser is October 19th, 2023! Join us for this special night to help raise funds for the homeless and impoverished in Schenectady County.
Bethesda House began in 1992 as a simple drop-in center, providing shelter and sustenance to the homeless and poor. Over the years, we have enhanced services, expanded programs, and implemented new initiatives.
Our new residential program, Cara House, located at 917 State Street, opens September 2023. Twenty-six supportive housing efficiencies and sixteen emergency shelter beds are designed to provide income and housing stability and engagement and connection to medical and mental health services.
Join us as we celebrate 31 years of growth! We are so grateful for your support.
